My wonderful friend Lauren is expecting a baby boy this June. Today, we had a work shower for her. I was not the only host, but they gave me full control over decor. I decided after I saw a super cute baby shower idea on Bump Smitten, that I would steal their idea and do a book/owl shower. I also decided to do it as cheaply as possible. I used two vases I already owned, spent 3.99 on flowers, bought a very expensive but cute cake for 45.00 and made the rest. I took one 2.00 Best American Plays book I had in my classroom and proceeded to rip it to shreds. I made the cute book flower balls seen above using 0.00 in supplies.

Let’s face it, sometimes we women get so caught up with the planning and excitement of an engagement, that our judgment can become clouded on the real issues. While you should most definitely focus on the font of your reception cocktail napkins, it’s imperative to have these conversations with your fiance to make sure that you will be placing your happiness in the hands of a like minded person. I even offer you questions to ask.  I suggest you pick a night when your partner is not stressed from work, their sports team is not on tv, and you are not drunk, that would just be you looking for a fight.
